Video feature: Devising theater with youth

The Princeton University Program in Theater, in partnership with Community House and the Community-Based Learning Initiative, is offering the course “Devising Theater With Youth” this semester. The service-learning course promotes experiential learning for both Princeton University students and a small group of children from Community House, an on-campus after-school program.

Video Feature: ‘Three Students’

This video features three students who are exploring their passions in distinctive ways: Jacinth Greywoode, a pianist who switched his focus from neuroscience to music; Katrina Hacker, a figure skater who competed internationally and hopes to attend medical school; and Carmina Mancenon, an international student who is committed to service in different parts of the globe.

Call for nominations for the 2013 President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching

The Office of the Dean of the Faculty asks all members of the community to submit letters of nomination for the 2013 President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching.  All current full, associate, and assistant professors, senior lecturers, and lecturers who have served at least half time for three or more years are eligible for nomination.

Nebel named Marshall Scholarship

Princeton University senior Jake Nebel is among the 34 American college students who have been named 2013 Marshall Scholars. The Marshall Scholarship covers the cost of graduate study and living at a British university for two to three years. Nebel, a philosophy major from Winter Park, Fla., plans to pursue a master’s degree in philosophy at the University of Oxford.

Office of Career Services celebrates 100 years

Princeton University’s Office of Career Services is marking its 100th anniversary this year. While a lot has changed since the office was founded as the “Self-Help Bureau” in 1912, one thing remains the same: Career Services’ commitment to assisting Princeton students and alumni as they develop and pursue their career goals.
